WHO AM I?

I am a user interface designer and web developer located in South Texas. I cut my teeth in the game development industry for about nine years working on various game development games and platforms. I've shipped multiple titles on the PC, Sony Playstation, and Nintendo GameCube include the award winning Nickeleon title "SpongeBob SquarePants: Revenge of the Flying Dutchman".

In the late 1990's and early 2000's, I went to work for a large web agency, marchFirst, as an Art Director. At marchFirst I worked on projects for large, Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft, Dell, IBM and others. I designed and developed one of the first online 3D shopping experiences on the web, the FAO Schwarz Virtual Playroom. I developed six of the hot toys for the Christmas season and made them fully interactive on the FAO Schwarz website. Users could spin the toys in real-time and also click on multi-function, interactive elements that would mimic the real-life operation of the toys. The Virtual Playroom was featured at Siggraph 2000 in New Orleans at a symposium on the "Future of the Internet".

In 2004, I went to work as a contractor for the United States Air Force developing web and applications for the support of pilot training. I've developed numerous projects to help streamline the courseware development process as well as the development of a proprietary courseware delivery system.

After being a huge Flash advocate, I'm currently rededicating myself to JavaScript with such exciting new changes in mobile. It's obvious that HTML5 and CSS3 is going to become pervasive in UI development, so that's where I'm headed and I'm excited about working with it. WebGL is also a very exciting new capability for the higher-end browsers that I'm really excited about.
